A rugby union coach, best known for coaching the Fiji sevens team to a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Ben is one of the most successful rugby coaches in the history of the game, and the man who took Fiji to rugby sevens Olympic gold in Rio 2016. It was the island nation's first Olympic medal of any colour, and was recognised by the International Olympic Committee as the best male team performance at the 2016 Games. Ben, coach of England's sevens team from 2006 to 2013, also took Fiji to two Sevens World Series titles.

After the team's triumph in Brazil, Ben was named Ratu Peni Raini Latianara in Fiji, became Chief in the province of Serua, and was awarded the Companion of the Order of Fiji, the highest order attainable on the Islands. He is depicted on the reverse of a circulating 50 cent coin, and on the front of a circulating commemorative $7 banknote. Ben is the Pacific Person of the Year and was short-listed for World Rugby Coach of the Year.

As author of the bestseller Sevens Heaven: The Beautiful Chaos of Fiji's Olympic Dream, Ben shares his amazing journey and authentic insights for developing empowered teams. Ben is currently a consultant for many world class organisations, both within and outside the sporting world.
